Marceline Swimming Pool

The City of Marceline chose the Carrothers/Larkin Design Build Team for their new swimming pool. Construction started in Fall of 2016 and the new pool was opened in May 2017. 

Our Design Build services included:

• Initial planning meetings with the city council and staff to discuss general concept
• Development of several general concepts with budget costs / impact
• Narrowing of general concept for presentation to general public
• Prepare fliers and concept boards for public presentations
• Attend / conduct multiple town hall meetings to generate public interest
• Additional efforts for a dual election—bond issue and sales tax increase. One in the fall of 2015 and one in the spring of 2016. Both passed
• Post-election: work with the city to finalize the project design to meet budget constraints
• Construction of the new pool and bathhouse
